【时代论坛讯】韩国基督教教会协议会（NCCK）昨天（六月十四日）于其脸书专页发表声明，表明与正努力捍卫人权的香港基督教协进会以及香港人民团结一致，敦促香港政府立即停止警察暴力，以及为《逃犯条例》修订展开民主程序，让政府和香港人民达致共识。
声明张贴于该会脸书专页，以韩文及英文双语表达，帖文附有韩文、英文及中文标签（hashtag），中文的写上「＃反对逃犯条例修正」。声明亦关注近日香港反对《逃犯条例》修订所触发的百万人示威，被政府武力镇压和指斥为有组织暴动。该会表示，在极端冲突之中，他们为香港的领袖祷告，期望他们能诚意聆听人民的声音与诉求，采取措施使现时危机得以和平化解。
韩文及英文声明全文如下：
연대성명서본회는 “범죄인 인도 및 형사사법 공조법안”(이하 범죄인인도법)에 반대하는 홍콩 시민들의 시위를 지켜보며 우려와 함께 깊은 연대를 표명한다. 지난 수일간, 칠백만의 인구 중 일백만이 넘는 시민들이 범죄인인도법 폐지를 촉구하며 시위를 계속하고 있다. 급기야 홍콩정부는 이 시위를 조직폭동으로 규정하며 폭력적인 방법으로 진압하고 있다.
이러한 극단적인 대결을 지켜보면서, 본회는 홍콩의 지도자들이 시민들의 외침과 요구에 귀 기울이고 현재의 위기를 평화적으로 해결하기 위한 조치들을 취할 수 있기를 기도한다.
우리는 본회의 선교협력 파트너인 홍콩기독교협의회가 지적하고 있듯이, 범죄인인도법은 사법제도가 보장하고 있는 인권을 훼손할 가능성이 농후하며, “범죄인의 중국본토송환 규정이 정치적, 종교적 반대자들을 탄압하는 정치적 도구로 악용될 수 있다”는 우려에 깊이 공감한다. 또한 홍콩시민 뿐만 아니라 외국인들에게도 이 법이 적용될 것이라는 사실에 깊은 우려를 표한다.
본회는 인권과 민주주의, 시민권 보장을 요구하는 홍콩기독교협의회와 홍콩시민들에게 깊은 연대를 표명한다. 자유와 민주주의, 인간의 존엄성은 어떤 상황 하에서도 침해되어서는 안 되는, 하나님께서 주신 고귀한 가치이기 때문이다.
본회는 홍콩정부가 시민들에 대한 폭력 진압을 즉각 중단하고 이 위기를 평화적으로 해결할 것을 다시 한 번 촉구한다. 아울러 홍콩정부는 일백만이 넘는 시민들이 이 법안의 폐지를 촉구하고 있는 사실을 직시하고, 민의를 존중하여 합의에 도달 할 수 있는 민주적 과정을 시작할 것을 촉구한다.

We, in Korea, have been watching with growing concern the Hong Kong people’s demonstration against the Fugitive Offenders and Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters Legislation. For last few days more than a million people, out of seven million populations, gather everyday to urge the Legislative Council to repeal this legislation, and now the Hong Kong government is violently suppressing the demonstration, condemning it as organized riot.
First of all, in the midst of the extreme confrontation, we pray that Hong Kong leaders will sincerely listen to the voice and demand of the people and take measures to peacefully resolve the present crisis.
We share the concern of our partners, the Hong Kong Christian Council, that human rights must be maintained in all aspects of criminal justice as they seek such guarantees. We note that the Hong Kong Christian Council has raised concerns that extradition to Mainland China might be too easily used as a political tool against political and religious opponents. We also express our concern as we are told that this legislation will be applied to any residents whether they are Hong Kong citizens or foreigners.
We confirm our solidarity in standing beside our partners in the Hong Kong Christian Council and the people in Hong Kong who are desperately struggling to protect their human rights. We believe that freedom, democracy and human dignity are all God given values which should not be violated under any circumstances.
Therefore, we urge the Hong Kong government to immediately stop the police violence against people and take measures to resolve this crisis in peaceful ways. Furthermore, as a significant portion of Hong Kong residents demands the repeal of this legislation, we urge the Hong Kong government to begin a democratic process in which the government and people of Hong Kong are able to reach a consensus.
